Journey through the Decades. Piedmont Park
has a rich history and a bright future. Come for a presentation
and learn about the journey from Farmland, to Fairground to Public
Park. After the presentation, we will take a hike through the
53-acres North Woods area, which will be transformed from fallow
wasteland into new parkland.
- Presentation and snacks begin promptly at
12 noon and the North Woods tour will depart at 12:45 pm
- Comfortable shoes and attire needed for the
hike through the woods.
Piedmont Park Conservancy is a member and
donor funded nonprofit organization working in partnership with
the City of Atlanta, to maintain and enhance historic Piedmont
Park. The Conservancy has raised and invested more than $23 million
in private funds for Park improvements, and today manages over
90% of the overall maintenance and security.
