Sweet Auburn, the section of Auburn Avenue
between downtown and the King Historic Site, was once the hub
of African American life. The Sweet Auburn community holds great
distinction in American history because it also is home to such
notable institutions as Atlanta Life Insurance Company, Southern
Christian Leadership Conference and Atlanta Daily World. Come
experience the rich history of "The richest negro street
in the world, Auburn Avenue," on a trolley ride of the Sweet
Auburn community.
