Guided Tour of the Georgia State Capitol

Secretary of State Karen Handel invites the public to the Georgia Capitol, a National Historic Landmark, to view the restoration of this classical Renaissance structure with its prominent Victorian features. Capitol guides will conduct tours highlighting the history of the building and its current preservation by architects Lord, Aeck & Sargent. This tour is being conducted in conjunction with the Atlanta Urban Design Commission's City Hall tour which begins at 3 pm.

Cost: Free

Directions: Tour starts in lobby at Washington Street entrance, 208 Washington Street ­ MAP

MARTA: East rail line to Georgia State Station, then walk to the right (Washington Street) side of the State Capitol. This Event is accessible via the MARTA Downtown Tourist Loop.
