Walking Tour of Historic Midtown

This special APC tour focuses on three key
streets in the Midtown Historic District: Piedmont and Penn avenues
and Myrtle Street. It starts at the 1883 Peters House, which
the Savannah College of Art and Design will open specially for
this tour. From there, the APC guide will lead the tour to The
Abbey, now St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, and homes belonging
to Pulitzer Prize winner Ralph McGill, editor of The Atlanta
Constitution, and two well-known city historians, Wilbur Kurtz
and Franklin Garrett. This tour is given in conjunction with
the Savannah College of Art & Design Guided
Tour of the 1883 Peters House.

Meet at the Peters House parking lot, corner
of North and Piedmont Avenues. MAP
MARTA: North rail line to North Avenue Station, then walk
3 blocks east.
