Grant Park

Walk through Atlanta's history from the antebellum
Grant Mansion and Confederate fortifications to the Victorian
era and present day in Grant Park. The park, the centerpiece
of this revitalized neighborhood, was given to the city in 1883
by entrepreneur Lemuel P. Grant and quickly became a favorite
spot because of its beautiful lake, numerous springs and amusement
area. It is now home to the Atlanta Cyclorama and Zoo Atlanta.

Meet in front of the Grant Park Conservancy,
corner of Sydney and Broyles streets. MAP
MARTA: Exit
MARTA rail at the King Memorial Station (E2). To get the needed
bus transfer to get to Grant Park, before exiting the turnstile,
tap your card on the target as you did to get into the rail station.
This will allow you to, at no additional charge, take bus route #197 to Cherokee and and Sydney
streets, two blocks south of the I-20 overpass. Walk three blocks
west along Sydney to Broyles Street. The Grant Park Conservancy
is on the corner.
Heading North on I-75/85: Exit 246 (Fulton St.) Follow Fulton St. sign, turn
right on Fulton and go three blocks to fork in the road. Take
right fork, Sydney St., and go three blocks to Broyles St. The
Grant Park Conservancy is on the corner.
Heading South on I-75/85: Exit 246 (Fulton St.). Turn left on Fulton and go
three blocks to fork in the road. Take right fork, Sydney St.,
and go three blocks to Broyles St. The Grant Park Conservancy
is on the corner.
