Chartered in 1835 near Milledgeville Georgia, Oglethorpe relocated to its present site in 1915. The collegiate gothic style buildings were designed by the Atlanta architectural firm Morgan and Dillon with its associate Walter T. Downing. Guided tours led by Dr. Paul Hudson feature Lupton, Hearst and Lowry Halls which date from 1915 to 1931. The one hour tours will conclude in the Museum for a tour of the current Matisse exhibition led by Lloyd Nick, museum director.
